Class 1:

HP

European Champion:

It is the highest title a fertile cat can achieve. And as for the neutered cat you can still show the cat and get a honor prize instead of a certificate.

If you neutere the cat you can start showing the cat again in the open class for neutered cats.

Below is a description of extra awards a cat can obtain in a show:

BIV:

Best in Variety:

To obtain a BIV there has to be at least 3 cats with the same colour variation in the same breed at the show. Furthermore the 3 cats have to be either fertile or neutered.

The best of the 3 cats will be awarded with a BIV. In case there is 3 males, 3 females or 3 kittens a BIV is awarded in each group.

As for the Turkish breeds it is very rare to get a BIV because it often is impossible to show 3 cats of the same colour in a show.

NOM: Nomination:

The judge picks out the best male, female, youngster and kitten from all the breeds the individual judge have judged. After the nomination the cat will then be judged on the scene with the other cats that the other judges have nominated in the same category.

BIS: Best in Show:

The best male and female in each category will compeed against each other and the winner is awarded the title BIS. The loser is awarded the title Best of opposite sex.

BOB: Best Of Best:

The winner of the BIS competition will now compeed against the winner from the other 3 categories. The cats will be awarded with the titles BOB1, BOB2, BOB3 and BOB4, the best being BOB1.

HP: Honor Prize:

It is a honorary prize that is awarded to cats in class 1 and 2 which are cats that have allready obtained the title of European Champion or European Premier and therefore does not get any more certificates

Here are the abbreviations of the titles and the name of the certificates:

Fertile cats:

Neutered cats:

Title: Title:
CH = Champion CP = Premier
IC = International Champion IP = International Premier
GIC = Grand International Champion GIP = Grand International Premier
EC = European Champion EP = European Premier

As you can see from the above it is necessary for a cat to be judged by several different judges in the different classes to get the certificate to use for advancement to the next class. If you are unfortunate to be judges by a judge that have allready judged the cat in the same class it is possible to get the cat counter-judged by another judge so that the cat still gets the certificate to be used for advancement to the next class.
